BCAG Rain Barrels
BCAG currently has a limited number of barrels in stock and available for purchase at $45. These are recycled, food-grade industrial barrels, adapted by BCAG volunteers for use as rain barrels.
The barrels have a valve at the bottom to attach a garden hose. There is also a short overflow pipe near the top to redirect overflows into a second barrel or away from a building foundation. The water intake area is screened to keep mosquitoes out.
The attached photo shows three BCAG barrels cascaded. Concrete blocks provide ample support for the heavy filled barrels. The extra elevation provides space for a watering can under the valve and extra water pressure for use with drip hoses. Barrels are white, black and light blue; BCAG cannot necessarily accommodate colour requests.
These barrels are available for purchase on a first come/first served basis, until supplies run out. Delivery and installation are not included.
