The remaining BCAG rain barrels have been sold to the Rideau Environmental Action League (REAL), who will offer them for sale through their "REAL DEAL" store and environmental centre in Smiths Falls. BCAG is pleased to have had this opportunity to cooperate with our like-minded neighbours.

BCAG can continue with these industrial barrel conversions once there appears to be more demand, which has no doubt abated with the soggy summer we've been having.

Funds from the sale of our barrels help BCAG to achieve its goals, through the printing of emission reduction tips, payment of entry fees for trade fairs, small gifts of appreciation to our speakers, etc.

BCAG currently has a limited number of barrels in stock and available for purchase at $40. These are recycled industrial barrels, adapted for rain barrel use by BCAG members.

These barrels will be available for purchase on a first come/first served basis after each monthly meeting, until supplies run out. Delivery and installation are not included.

These barrels would have a valve at the bottom to attach a garden hose. There would also be a short overflow pipe near the top to redirect overflows into a second barrel or away from a building foundation. The water intake area would also be screened to keep mosquitoes out. This photo gives an approximate indication of the design.
