• City of Kingston | KEAF

  The Kingston Environmental Advisory Forum's mission is "to provide leadership in improving the quality of our lives and the lives of our children through the thoughtful planning and management of our built and natural environments." As part of that effort, KEAF is compiling information on energy-conservation and environment protection that you can use in your home and community.

• City of Ottawa | Air Quality and Climate Change Management Plan

  This Plan provides a context for climate change and air quality issues within the City, proposes both a Corporate and Community target for greenhouse gas emission reduction and outlines the measures the City should undertake to reach this target.

• Cornwall Carbon Reduction Initiative

  The local idea, being spearheaded by former city councillor Naresh Bhargava, is to come up with a list of different actions residents and business can take to reduce carbon emissions. The actions - though not finalized yet - could include everything from using energy-efficient lightbulbs to cutting back on dryer usage. Each action would have a calculated carbon savings.

• County Sustainability Group, Prince Edward County

  "CSG attempts to bring a global perspective to local activities in Prince Edward County. Healing the earth depends on our acceptance of the limits Nature places on growth of all kinds. By exploring and initiating practical ways of doing this, we engage with others who look towards our ecological and energy future."

• ecoPerth

  Perth has set out on the road to show how a small town in central Canada can respond to the issues of climate change. Partnering with local businesses, groups and individuals, ecoPerth is about making projects happen - projects that are environmentally sustainable and economically efficient.

• Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa (EVCO)

  EVCO is a non-profit, incorporated organization dedicated to promoting the use of electric vehicles in applications where they are appropriate.

• Lanark Highlands | Integrated Sustainable Community Plan

  This project will build on the success of the document entitled “The Highlands We Want in the Year 2020” which was completed in 1999 in collaboration with the North Lanark County Community Health Centre.

• Mississippi Valley Field Naturalists | Climate Change Awareness Project

  MVFN started exploration of climate change during the 2005-06 speaker series which focused on the theme “Change in our Natural World” . This series presented important background information on changes in climate, nature, and the environment. We also began collecting data on aspects of the local and natural environment that may be climate sensitive. We hope to continue to involve members as well as the public and groups in the community in observing changes in local phenomena, and in recording and sharing the information.

• Rideau Environmental Action League | Community Action on Climate Change

  With climate change becoming such a hot topic in the media these days, it makes the efforts of environmentalists over the past three decades on issues such as waste, water, energy conservation, and consumerism all the more pressing. Steps that individuals can take to combat climate change are readily available. But what can we do together as a community?

• St. Lawrence College | Kingston Campus | Energy House

  Energy House focuses on commercialized alternative and renewable energy products that individuals can use today in their homes and in their work such as solar air and water heating, heat pumps, photovoltaic systems, and energy efficiency in construction and in appliance usage.

• Seventh Generation Community Projects

  "Established in 1999, Seventh Generation Community Projects is a non-profit organization that promotes sustainable living practices in the greater Ottawa area to help preserve our planet and create health and well-being for people and communities. We do this through workshops, seminars, tours, offering resources to the community, networking and partnering with other like-minded organizations, supporting and promoting green businesses."

• Sustainable Ottawa

  Sustainable Ottawa Community Energy Co-Op is a community based non-profit organization. Our mission is to make sustainable technologies, products and services more accessible and economically viable to people within the NCR. We do so through increasing public awareness of sustainable energy technologies (i.e. solar and wind), and by using the collective bargaining power of the Co-Op to reduce the cost of sustainable energy technologies for members of the Co-Op and the public.

• SWITCH - Kingston's Alternative Energy Cluster

  A recognized, organized and active cluster of alternative energy businesses, research institutions, community minded volunteers and public sector participants working together with a mission to position Kingston as a leading centre for alternative energy.

• Transition Kingston

  Helping Kingston become more resilient and self-sufficient in response to the challenges of climate change and oil dependence.
