Student Friends of the Earth

Welland Tribune / Jordan Baker / 01 April 2008

St. Andrew Catholic School students are making themselves friends of the Earth. Marian Gibbons, waste reduction co-ordinator for the region’s school boards, was on hand Tuesday to give a presentation stressing waste reduction and energy efficiency.

In the school’s gymnasium students of all grades were gathered to listen to the presentation and play a quick game of Recycling Price is Right, in which a pair of students guessed at how much money per tonne various recyclable products are worth.
