3M Canada Brockville plant: the energy efficiency prototype

With a new Energy division and a newly created Energy Manager position, 3M Canada means business when it comes to energy efficiency. The main objective for Andrew Hejnar, 3M’s Energy Manager, is to identify opportunities and implement energy efficiency initiatives.
Hejnar, a Certified Energy Manager, started his career in energy efficiency at the Brockville, Ontario, tape plant, which is seen as “a success story that management wants to reproduce in other facilities.” All the initiatives carried out between 2007 and 2008 fell into three main areas: awareness, practice and projects.
